Fast and formidable

I calculated the “speed score” metric for top Georgia prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine — a stat that adjusts a player’s 40-yard dash time for their weight, highlighting exceptional combination of size and speed. Speed score is calculated as: (weight in pounds × 200) ÷ (40 time^4). This allows us to compare the athleticism of positions like running back, linebacker, and defensive end more fairly.
